New Plans for Seed Starting. In 2018, the Cable Community Farm plans to launch a Community Seed Starting Project and we need your help! We plan to purchase and install grow lights in the back of the Tool Shed so that members of the community can use the space to get a jump on their seed starting in the spring. What a great idea, huh? The farm is managed by Jim and David Nortunen and is located in Northern Wisconsin not far from the shores of Lake Superior. Almost every day of the grazing year the cattle get moved to a fresh new paddock, sometimes as many as 4 or 5 times a day. Rotating animals through different pastures more closely mimics natural migration patterns.
